For booksellers
Wholesale & consignment
Independent bookstores can stock Wordwrights titles on consignment — order the copies you want at trade pricing, sell them at your own pace, and report your sales each month. You only settle for what sells.
How it works
- Apply for a wholesale account below. We review every application.
- Once approved, sign in to your portal and place a consignment order. You'll see a live shipping quote before you submit; we print and ship the copies to you.
- Sell the books in your store. Each month, report what sold through your portal (a zero-sales month is one click) and settle your balance online.
- Sold out of a title? When you report a sale, we'll prompt you to restock it in a couple of clicks.
Consignment terms
- Trade pricing per title; you pay Wordwrights its share only once a copy sells.
- We retain title to the stock until it's sold — there's no upfront purchase.
- Monthly sales reporting is required while you hold consignment stock.
- A modest cap on copies-on-hand keeps everyone's inventory healthy; we can raise it as our relationship grows.
- Every settled sale comes with a tax invoice you can download from your portal.
